Donington Park - Valentino Rossi achieved successful British MotoGP pole position. The Doctor leads the start and he record the best time in the last minutes.
In the qualifying session was held Saturday (25/7/2009) , Rossi appears to be the fastest time with a record 1 minute 28.116 seconds.
Rossi must be given two thumbs up. For, when the qualification eleven minutes remaining, Fiat Yamaha drivers are still in fourth order with 0.7 seconds behind Jorge Lorenzo who lead the qualifying at the time.
Certainty pole position obtained by The Doctor in the last two minutes. Note the time 1 minute 28.116 seconds to fail by the other drivers.
In the position Dani Pedrosa is second with a record time 1 minute 28.211 seconds. Positions are third and fourth place by Lorenzo and Casey Stoner.
Valentino Rossi did not originally expect to reach the forefront of the start position. Consequently, he was surprised that when reaching the pole position.
"Looking at the performance of other drivers, we hope to have a good grip this afternoon. But when I use a harder tire, we are thus in the problem. I do not have a good enough grip, so that notes the time that I have quite bad," said Italian drivers.
To improve performance, Rossi was in the pit stop and make repairs. The result is positive, because it can improve the record time and eventually reach the pole position.
"After we perform modifications, install the soft tires, we get the desired grip. Motor show me the good progress quickly. So this team is doing a good job," team-up of Fiat Yamaha this.
The race will be held on Sunday, the weather forecast predicted rain will fall down at Donington Park
