Arsenal vs MU match at Old Trafford, Saturday entered minute 90 when the incident occurred. As a result of drinking a bottle kicking, Wenger was given a red card by referee Mike Dean who received a report from his assistant Lee Probert.
Later, the referee's decision has been criticized Wenger drive. Moreover, there is little silliness
when Wenger does not know where to go and even into the stands where he publicly ridiculed Old Trafford.
Media in the UK later reported that the Chief Executive of the League Managers Association (LMA) Richard Bevan has spoken with the Chairman of the Premier League referee Keith Hackett and Hackett said it would apologize to Wenger.
"Although it is legally valid, the punishment was out of context and then followed by a strange
matter where Wenger had to sit down," said Bevan about the expulsion was quoted as saying by
Reuters.
"I've talked to Hackett and he was very aware of mistakes in that situation and will apologize to
Arsene Wenger," said Bevan again.
After the match, Wenger said that his reaction was not due to kick the bottle to protest Robin van Persie's goal, but rather as an expression of disappointment because it failed to equalize the
score.
"Lee Probert failed to overcome the situation and creating a diverting focus from the field is not
needed," said Bevan.
